Australian history preserved
Recently i went to a couple of interesting places in NSW. Parkes is famous for the Dish.
I found the Dish fascinating. This address will give you more information

We also visited Corowa and visited the site were the japnese prisoners of war broke out.
The memorial cemetries for both the Australian soldiers from the area and the Japenese soldiers and civilans that were killed or died in the war years is very peaceful.
The japenese information centre is also worth a look. The Japanese government have sponsored some of the areas there.

Then we went to Gundagai and visited the heritage railway station. The photos of the old road and rail bridges are wonderful as are the bridges themselves.
